Lease Program

Common questions about EnFin solar leases

Will I own the system? +

Not under a lease. EnFin owns the equipment for the length of the agreement, and you have the option to buy the system starting in year 6. If ownership from day one matters to you, ask about our loan program instead.

Do I have to pay anything before the system is turned on? +

No — with a lease, you won't have any upfront payments or deposits before the system is turned on.

What happens once the agreement term is over? +

You'll have a few choices: buy the system at its fair market value, renew the agreement, or have the system removed at no cost to you.

What happens if I move during my agreement? +

You can transfer the agreement to the new homeowner (subject to approval), buy out the system before closing, or prepay the remaining lease payments.

Am I eligible for the Solar ITC (Investment Tax Credit)? +

Because EnFin owns the system under a lease, any available tax credit belongs to EnFin, not the homeowner. Speak with a licensed tax professional about your specific situation.
